Midjourney is an independent community-funded research lab that created the first public text-to-image model on the market but still remains a small independent (and less-commercial) player. It focuses on creating artistic, visually expressive images. Its strengths are better style, composition and visual quality, especially in the genres of fantasy, surrealism and atmospheric scenes.
